Summary

What happened
Higgsfield says a new OpenAI model lets it generate AI video over 10 minutes long, up from about one minute before.
Why it matters
That's long enough to carry a real walkthrough or demo, not just a flashy teaser clip.
What to do
Turn one onboarding guide or SOP into a video script now, so you're ready the moment this longer format reaches your tool.

Higgsfield, an AI video company, says a new OpenAI model called GPT-6 Astra lets it generate videos that run more than 10 minutes, up from about one minute before. The company says the same model lets its system reach for outside tools — including 3D modeling — to keep characters, objects, and scenes consistent across that longer runtime. Higgsfield is already using the longer format to produce its own instructional videos.

What it means for you

If you've got onboarding guides, SOPs, or FAQ docs sitting in a drive, this is what turns them into a real training video without you ever touching a camera.

Why it matters

  • A one-minute clip can't carry a real tutorial. Higgsfield capped its own videos at a short runtime because keeping the same characters, objects, and scenes steady gets harder the longer a clip runs. That's fine for a teaser, but too short for a walkthrough or training video that actually explains something.
  • The fix is giving the AI outside tools to call, not just more time to render. GPT-6 Astra lets Higgsfield's system call outside tools, including 3D modeling, to hold characters, objects, and scenes steady over the longer run. That's the mechanism behind the jump — a way to stop things drifting past the one-minute mark, not just a bigger render.
  • Higgsfield says this is already real production, not just a demo. The company says it's using the longer format for its own instructional videos, on a YouTube channel with nearly half a million subscribers — proof this holds up in real use, at least for Higgsfield's own content.
  • Every number here is still Higgsfield's own account. Higgsfield says it hit a $1 billion annualized revenue run rate on Sept. 29, with more than 32 million users and nearly 1 million paying subscribers — real numbers, but there's still no independent benchmark on resolution, cost, or exactly when this longer format reaches ordinary accounts.

What to do next

Pick one onboarding guide, SOP, or FAQ doc you already have and turn it into a script outline for an instructional video using the prompt below. That way, whenever longer AI video reaches your tool — Higgsfield, HeyGen, Google Flow, or whatever you use — you won't start from scratch.

Fill in the highlighted bits, then paste this into a free chatbot like ChatGPT or Claude:

I'm turning this [onboarding guide / SOP / FAQ document] into an instructional video — here's the text: [paste your document]. Break it into a scene-by-scene script outline. For each scene, give me a one-line description of what's on screen and a short line of narration. Keep the tone [plain and friendly / professional and polished] for an audience of [new clients / new hires].
